Durán - Ecuador
Our Durán production facility in Ecuador proudly became the first of our sites to achieve ASC certification. This is a significant achievement for BioMar and the shrimp farming industry in the region. By offering ASC-certified feed tailored for shrimp, we empower local producers to meet the rising demand for responsibly farmed seafood. This achievement highlights our dedication to advancing shrimp feed production standards, reinforcing our role as a key player in driving change within the shrimp farming sector in the region.
Grangemouth - United Kingdom
Our Grangemouth facility in the UK made history by becoming the country’s first feed production site to achieve ASC certification. Specialising in both organic and standard feed for Atlantic salmon and trout, this achievement allows us to extend ASC certified feed to key markets in the UK, Ireland, Denmark and Norway. The certification of Grangemouth marks a crucial step in supporting responsible aquaculture practices, both locally and internationally. By offering high-quality, sustainable feed solutions, this facility is helping to drive a future where responsible seafood production is the norm across these vital regions.
Castro, Pargua and Ercilla – Chile
Through a multi-site process, we reached a significant milestone with the ASC certification of all three of our production facilities in Chile. Our locations in Castro, Pargua and Ercilla are vital to supporting Chile’s aquaculture industry, supplying feed for Atlantic Salmon, Coho Salmon, and Trout in a region renowned for its salmon production. This multi-site certification not only strengthens our operations in Chile but also extends our reach, enabling us to offer ASC certified feed to neighboring markets in South America, to countries such as Argentina, Colombia and Peru.
Our facilities in Costa Rica, Norway, France, Spain and Denmark are next in line for assessment. Each certification marks a new chapter in our commitment to ensuring that responsible practices are at the heart of our operations. This enables us to offer ASC-certified feed to a wide range of species and markets.
